Born in Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, Mexico, Rocio came to the United States in 2006 when her parents made the difficult decision to migrate in search of safety and a better life for her and her two sisters.
She spent nearly a decade in community association management, moving through increasing responsibility and developing a deep understanding of the challenges communities face — and a growing desire for work with a more meaningful impact on people's lives.
That led her to vocational rehabilitation. “I especially value being able to be part of someone's journey as they discover that an injury or unexpected change in their life does not have to define their future. Watching someone regain confidence, learn a new trade, and begin moving toward a new chapter is incredibly rewarding.”
