Job Placement Assistance for Las Vegas claims
When the written assessment finds existing marketable skills, the plan consists of job placement assistance only. The statutory goal, where practicable, is a position paying at least 80 percent of the gross wage the employee earned at the time of injury, and the assistance is capped at six months from the date of notification.
For files in Las Vegas, that work happens in the Strip corridor, downtown, the medical district and the resort properties that employ most of the valley. Knowing which employers there will take a modified-duty candidate is the difference between a labor market survey and an actual placement.
